Flamengo knows its opponents in the group stage of the Conmebol Libertadores 2020
Current champion, Rubro-Negro will face Independiente Del Valle, Junior Barranquilla and the winner of the G1

On the same day that it secured its place in the Club World Cup final, Flamengo also found out its path in the group stage of next season's Conmebol Libertadores. On Tuesday night (17), in Luque, Paraguay, Conmebol drew the groups for the 61st edition of South America's most important competition.
Current champion of the South American tournament and the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo was in Pot 1 alongside the other top seeds, which are: River Plate, Boca Juniors, Grêmio, Nacional, Peñarol, Palmeiras and Olimpia.
At the draw, Rubro-Negro picked an Ecuadorian, a Colombian, and the winner of the G1. As the top seed in Group A, Mais Querido faces Independiente Del Valle, Junior Barranquilla, and a team yet to be determined.
The teams that make up Group A are: Carabobo-VEN, Universitário-PER, Cerro Porteño-PAR, Progresso-URU, Barcelona de Guayaquil-EQU, or Sporting Cristal-PER. One of these teams will be the fourth member of Group A. The first phase of the competition will begin in January.
