The 11 State Futsal Championship under-2009 final was held on the 16th at the home ground of their opponent, Vasco da Gama. Despite a strong performance, highlighted by Flamengo's excellent movement and attacking approach, the red-and-black team let victory slip away in the final minutes of the game.

With a final score of 2-3, the red-black team secured second place in the Championship and lifted the State Silver Cup.
