With the decisive contribution of the State Government, BEPE, the Rio de Janeiro State Fire Department and the Maracanã Consortium, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo had its request met to reduce the size of the visiting section for matches against teams from outside Rio, without this posing any risks to fans.

Starting with next Wednesday's game (3), against Peñarol, for the CONMEBOL Libertadores, level 1 of the South sector of the Maracanã stands will be open to the red-blacks. Fans of the Uruguayan club will be allocated to levels 2 and 5, also in the South sector, with all comfort and security. With the decision, Flamengo will have 2.250 more tickets for its fans.

The decision in no way violates CONMEBOL regulations, which require at least 4 seats for visiting fans at competition matches.
