Flamengo signs striker Wanderley

Flamengo finalized the signing of young player Wanderley, 22, this Thursday (January 06.01th). The player spent the day in Rio de Janeiro finalizing a three-year contract, with an option to renew for two more years, with the Rubro-negro, undergoing medical exams, and arrived in Londrina in the early evening. This Friday (January 07.01th), he will join the squad for training, scheduled for 10 am at the SM Sport Training Center and at 16 pm at the Estádio do Café, in the city of Londrina, Paraná.

Discovered at Ponte Preta, the young prospect was eventually signed by Cruzeiro in 2008. Since then, he has played for the Minas Gerais team and was also loaned to São Caetano, Santo André, and Prudente, his last team, where he played in the last Brazilian Championship. In the competition, Vanderlei scored five goals in 17 matches.

Vanderlei was observed by Flamengo's coaching staff in recent months, 'approved,' and the very promising deal between the parties was finalized. The striker is Flamengo's fourth reinforcement for the season. In addition to him, Argentine midfielder Darío Bottinelli, goalkeeper Felipe, and attacking midfielder Vanderlei have also arrived.
