Flamengo signs midfielder Everton Ribeiro

Two-time Brazilian champion midfielder with Cruzeiro was in the United Arab Emirates and returns to Brazil with the Sacred Mantle

Flamengo agreed this Monday (05) to sign another major reinforcement for the season: midfielder Everton Ribeiro. At 28 years old, the athlete who since 2015 was one of the stars of Al Ahli, from the United Arab Emirates, returns to Brazilian football defending the Sacred Mantle. The athlete signed a four-year contract. 


Everton Ribeiro played for Corinthians, São Caetano and Coritiba before becoming a two-time Brazilian champion with Cruzeiro, in 2013 and 2014. His great performances caught the attention of Arabs and also of the then coach of the Brazilian National Team, Dunga, who called the player up for the 2015 Copa América. The left-footed midfielder had already played for the youth team, in the under-20 category.

The athlete arrives in Rio de Janeiro at Santos Dumont Airport at 9:45 a.m. this Tuesday. The newcomer's presentation will take place in the main hall of Gávea at 13 p.m. Press will be allowed in from 11:30 a.m.
