After physical training this morning in Gávea, Flamengo's players discussed their expectations for the next Brazilian Championship match, Wednesday against Vitória at Barradão Stadium. Experienced forward Marcelinho Paraíba, one of the current squad's leaders, stated that the match will be crucial because it could determine the club's future in the championship.

"We have to maintain our momentum and play with a lot of determination. Facing Vitória at Barradão is always very difficult. We need to be careful, because it's a game that could define our future in the Brazilian Championship."

Juan, meanwhile, hopes Flamengo can repeat Thursday's impressive performance, when they thrashed Coritiba 5-0 at Maracanã. The Brazilian national team's left-back expects the Flamengo team to play intelligently.

"We're ready to face them at Barradão. We're going to Bahia looking for a win. We need to play intelligently, exploiting Vitória's weaknesses. I believe they'll come out on top, and we have to capitalize on the space."

Midfielder Toró guarantees that Flamengo will enter the field with a decisive spirit.

"Now it's just an important game, and we have to treat this match, like the others, as a real decision. The match against Coritiba is behind us, and we're focused on Vitória. We have to show the same dedication and commitment we showed against Coritiba. We know it's difficult to play there in Bahia, but we have to go out there and do our part."
