In a draw held on Thursday afternoon (24), at the CBF headquarters, it was decided that the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final between Flamengo and Atlético-MG will be played at Maracanã, on November 3, and the return leg at Arena MRV, on November 10.

Coach Filipe Luís, who won the 2022 Copa do Brasil with Mengão as a player, spoke about the decision.

"I know this group like no one else. I turned the key very quickly. What impresses me most about the players is the effort they put in on the field and how much they want to win this trophy."

Goalkeeper Rossi, who was also present at the draw, predicted that the two final games will be very competitive.

"Everyone likes to decide at home, but as Rodrigo (Battaglia) said, the game takes place on the field. It will be two difficult games. A very close final, which we have to try to resolve on the field and then celebrate with the fans."

It's worth noting that this season, Mengão became the all-time record holder for Copa do Brasil final appearances with 10. The Gávea club has won the national competition four times (1990, 2006, 2013, and 2022) and is seeking its fifth title.
