Flamengo defends its lead in the Brazilian Championship in a classic against Botafogo

Everything is ready for another red-black commitment in the Brazilian Championship. With an eye on maintaining the leadership of the national competition, the Mais Querido will face Botafogo this Saturday (21), at 19 pm, at Maracanã. Coach Maurício Barbieri will not be able to count on Everton Ribeiro, who received the third yellow card against São Paulo.
The squad finished training for the derby against the black and white team on Friday afternoon. Before training, goalkeeper Diego Alves gave a press conference and discussed his expectations for the match.
"Both teams will be fighting for victory. We know the importance of scoring points, but we have to keep working. We have important games coming up. There's no choice. Regardless of the position, these will be very difficult matches."
