Flamengo arrived in Rio de Janeiro last night after competing in the Club World Cup in Doha, Qatar. They were greeted by a large crowd at Galeão Airport, all proud of the club's campaign in the World Cup. Mengão finished second after a 1-0 extra-time loss to Liverpool.

Goalkeeper Diego Alves, one of Mengão's standout players in the competition, spoke with us:

- Hello, Nation! I'm here to thank you all for your support this year. You were fundamental to our success. And we achieved something historic: titles, joy, moments that will be remembered in history. Thank you for everything, and let's go all out for 2020!

The Mengão squad went on vacation and will return on January 22nd.
