Conscious with the ball at their feet and undeterred by Atlético-PR's draw (1-1), the Mais Querido won at Maracanã. With the result, Cristóvão Borges's team went to 10th place in the table, with 23 points in the Brazilian Championship. Make Rubro-Negro even stronger: become a member.

The game
Flamengo needed only 11 minutes to open the scoring. From Alan Patrick's corner kick, defender Wallace got ahead of his marker and opened the scoring with his right foot. Atlético-PR's equalizer came in the 24th minute, with Hernani, also from a corner kick. Flamengo was undeterred by the equalizer and maintained its attacking stance. In the 39th minute, after a header in midfield, Éverton fought back and found Emerson at speed; the forward fired a low shot from the edge of the box, extending the lead for Flamengo. A minute later, Sheik found the net again, but the referee flagged for a foul on goalkeeper Weverton, who received the ball in the defense's fire, and the goal was disallowed. Emerson continued to torment the opposing defenders and was fouled dangerously just outside the penalty area two minutes later. Alan Patrick took the shot beautifully and the goalkeeper didn't even move to prevent the great goal, and just watched the ball go into his left corner: 3-1 for Flamengo, a score that remained until halftime.
In the second half, Cristóvão made a change in the ninth minute, taking off Ederson and bringing on another debutant, Kayke. Flamengo conceded the equalizer from another set piece in the 19th minute. Kadu headed in a corner kick. In the 22nd minute, Wallace felt back pain and was replaced by Samir. In the 26th minute, another goal for Flamengo was disallowed. Kayke headed the ball into the net, but from an offside position. In the 34th minute, Emerson, hunted from the start of the match, was fouled again, resulting in Hernani's red card. In the 38th minute, Cristóvão made his final change: Jonas came on for Canteros. With the numerical advantage, Flamengo controlled the final minutes of the match and left the field with all three points.
