The victory against Bangu on Wednesday night (22), in Volta Redonda, did not only represent Flamengo's early qualification for the semifinals of the Campeonato Carioca. In ten matches, Flamengo has completed 4.090 successful passes and only 341 errors. The numbers are from Footstats.

Leading the statistics in this category, Rubro-Negro has over a thousand completed passes, ahead of second-place Fluminense, which has 2943. With these numbers, the Mais Querido has a 92,3% successful pass rate in the championship. Against Bangu, Márcio Araújo completed the most passes, completing 90 of his 94 attempted passes. Rubro-Negro's leader in this category in the state tournament is Réver, who has 386 successful passes.

Furthermore, this was Flamengo's second-best possession of the year, with 67% in the final tally. This feat surpasses only the match against Portuguesa, in which Flamengo had 83%.

The match also saw the club record the highest number of shots on target in the competition. Of their 29 attempts, nine were on target and three were converted. Previously, Flamengo had only had more shots on target in the match against Portuguesa, when they had 15 shots and scored five goals.
