In a match valid for the 3rd round of the Brazilian Championship, on the afternoon of this Sunday (28), Flamengo and Atlético Paranaense faced each other at Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba (PR). With a disputed duel, the teams drew 1-1. The goal for Mais Querido was scored by Mancuello in the first half.

In the Brasileirão, Flamengo returns to the field next Sunday (4), when it plays the first classic of the competition, facing Botafogo, at 11 am.

The first half began with a very balanced game at Arena da Baixada. While Atlético-PR sought to open the scoring playing at home, Flamengo tried to surprise and pressed high up the pitch, creating good opportunities.

In the 24th minute, Federico Mancuello headed in the first Flamengo goal. After a great cross from Pará, the Argentinian finished accurately into the right corner of goalkeeper Wéverton's net, tearing through the opponent's goal and opening the scoring at Arena da Baixada.

Ahead on the scoreboard, Flamengo managed to create some opportunities in the first half. The "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) also relied on saves from Muralha to reach halftime with a 1-0 lead.

The final stage began with Flamengo applying pressure and dominating possession. However, in the 11th minute, Atlético managed to equalize with a goal from Thiago Heleno. With the game balanced, Flamengo continued trying to create chances near the opponent's area and maintained more possession in the attacking half.

Despite good opportunities created by Flamengo and saves by Alex Muralha, the match continued at the same pace until the end, when the referee blew the final whistle, ending the game in a 1-1 draw at Arena da Baixada.
