Preparation
After the 17th round of the Brazilian Championship, the red-black delegation arrived from Campinas in Rio de Janeiro and returned to training on Monday (10.08), at the George Helal Training Center. Striker Kayke trained alongside the athletes who did not play against Ponte Preta.
Wallace and Emerson gave a press conference and focused on the next opponent. The number 11 believes the team performed well against Ponte Preta and let the victory slip away in a small way. "We played an excellent match, but if you don't score, you lose. Now, Cristóvão is studying the next opponent to give us a chance to beat Atlético-PR," he stated.
The captain reiterated his confidence in the team, the staff, and the fans. "Wednesday's game is important for us to get back to winning ways at home. We're in good physical shape, and the coaching staff is very competent. The fans are also very competent and will support us, I know that," he said.
On Tuesday (11.08), Cristóvão led tactical training and tested options within the team. After training, the striker Kayke was presented at Ninho do Urubu and is now available to the coach.
