In the 17th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Ceará on Sunday afternoon (22), at Arena Castelão. Vitinho scored the Mais Querido's only goal in the match. With the result, Rubro-Negro moved up one position and is in fourth place in the championship with 28 points.

The game
Flamengo started the match valuing possession and exchanging passes in the attacking half. The Rubro-Negro's right wing was heavily used, with Everton Ribeiro and Matheuzinho playing a combination of passes through the area.

In the 31st minute, Ceará opened the scoring with a Vina goal, making it 1-0. After the goal, the Flamengo team continued to create attacking opportunities. In the 37th minute, Flamengo nearly equalized. Matheuzinho took the ball to the baseline and played it back. Gabigol controlled it inside the box and shot across goal, but the ball went wide. Flamengo tried to apply pressure at the end of the first half to tie the match, but went into the break trailing.

At the start of the second half, Flamengo leveled the score. Vitinho received a beautiful pass from Filipe Luís at the edge of the box and fired a superb shot into the goalkeeper's right corner: 1-1. With the draw, the game grew in intensity, with both teams constantly pushing forward. In the 27th minute, Gabigol delivered a beautiful, fast-paced pass to Michael, who burst into the box and slotted it past Richard.

The red-black team tried to score the winning goal until the end, but came away with a draw at Arena Castelão.

The Most Beloved returns to the field next Wednesday (25) to face Grêmio, at 21:30 pm, at Arena do Grêmio, for the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil.
