In Santiago del Estero (ARG), Flamengo ended up drawing with Central Córdoba 1-1 on Wednesday night (7), at the Único Madre de Ciudades stadium, in the fourth round of Group C of the Libertadores. Arrascaeta scored the red-black goal in the match. Now, Mais Querido will play the last two rounds at home to define the classification for the round of XNUMX, against LDU and Deportivo Táchira. 

The game

The match began with Flamengo holding the ball longer, exchanging passes to attack. The first good chance came in the fourth minute. Pedro set up Bruno Henrique in the box's half-moon; he fired a shot, but the ball went high. 

Until the ninth minute, Mengão opened the scoring in Santiago del Estero! Gerson passed to Arrascaeta, who burst into the box and beat the goalkeeper to make it 1-0. 

After the red-and-black goal, Córdoba began to keep the ball more in the attacking half to try to equalize. In the 23rd minute, Gerson won the challenge with a header, and the ball fell to Arrascaeta, who went one-on-one with Aguerre and shot. The goalkeeper went down in the corner and made the save.

In the final stretch, the Flamengo defense misplayed the ball, and Rossi made a spectacular save, saving Flamengo from an equalizer. In the 35th minute, Flamengo nearly extended their lead. Gerson attempted a cross, but the ball bounced off the defense and back to Flamengo. He controlled it with his left foot, shot low into the corner, and the goalkeeper jumped to palm it away. Córdoba attempted to mount pressure in the final minutes, but Flamengo held on and went into halftime with a partial victory.

At the start of the second half, Juninho replaced Pedro, and on the striker's first attempt, he found himself one-on-one with Aguerre and challenged the goalkeeper. The number 23 went down in the box, but the referee waved play on. At the start of the second half, the game lost some intensity and became more measured, with Córdoba gaining more possession.

In the 15th minute, Central Córdoba equalized with a header from Verón, who had just come on and scored with a header to make it 1-1. Ten minutes later, the referee awarded a penalty to Flamengo after Léo Pereira handled the ball in the box. However, after consulting VAR, he reversed his decision and allowed play to continue. 

In the final minutes, Rubro-Negro went on the attack in search of the winning goal, but the match ended in a draw in Argentina.
