O JOGO

The match started with intense intensity from both teams, who sought to maintain possession. Flamengo's first dangerous move came in the 7th minute. Bruno Henrique was released at speed, got past the goalkeeper, and shot, but the ball hit the post. Atlético-MG was tightly marking the ball out of play, making it difficult for the red-and-black team to exchange passes.

Guilherme Arana crossed into the edge of the six-yard box, the full-back tried to clear it, but it went into his own net: 1-0. In the 31st minute, Flamengo nearly equalized. Gabigol attempted a one-two with Everton Ribeiro, but the ball went just wide of the post. In the final minute of the first half, Flamengo again came close with Gabriel Barbosa, who attempted a one-time shot, but the ball deflected off the defense.

Flamengo returned for the second half trying to maintain possession in the attacking half and exchanged passes. The red-and-black team tried to create chances but were hampered by the opponent's strong marking. In the 41st minute, Vitinho took a shot from outside the box, but the ball went just wide.
