In the tenth round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo was defeated by Atlético-MG 2-1 on Wednesday night (07), at Mineirão. Willian Arão, with a header, scored the only goal for Flamengo in the match. The next challenge is against Chapecoense, at Maracanã.

The game
The match started at a fast pace, with both teams rushing forward. Five minutes in, Flamengo threatened with a powerful shot from Pedro, but the goalkeeper made the save. The match looked very evenly matched, with intense competition for possession.

Atlético attempted to attack, exchanging passes in the attacking half. Meanwhile, Atlético relied on a quick transition to attack, seeking to set up plays with Arrascaeta, who played freely up front. With few chances created, the first half ended goalless.

At the start of the second half, Atlético opened the scoring with Savarino: 1-0. Two minutes later, the Minas Gerais team extended the lead, again with Savarino: 2-0. After falling behind on the scoreboard, the red-black team tried to keep the ball longer in attack, looking to find spaces in Atlético's defense.

In the 42nd minute, Arão pulled one back for Flamengo. Renê took a corner kick, and the midfielder rose to the near post to head the ball into the left corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 2-1. The red-and-black team tried to equalize until the end, but was defeated.

The Most Beloved returns to the field next Sunday (11) to face Chapecoense, at 18:15 pm, at Maracanã, for the 11th round of the Brazilian Championship.
