In the 10th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo lost to Bragantino 1-0 on Wednesday night (8), at the Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium-SP. Luan Cândido scored the only goal of the match. The red-black team remains in Atibaia until Friday, when it heads to Porto Alegre, where it faces Internacional on Saturday.

The game
The match began with Bragantino enjoying more possession. Gradually, Flamengo began to loosen up the game, exchanging passes in the attacking half, looking for space in the opposing defense. In the 16th minute, the home team opened the scoring with Luan Cândido, who headed in a free kick from Arthur: 1-0.

In the 33rd minute, Lázaro passed to Vitinho at the edge of the box. The striker took a shot, but Cleiton made a save in the center of the goal. In the 44th minute, Everton Ribeiro crossed into the box, and Vitinho appeared at the far post, but mistimed the ball and fired wide. The Red-Blacks went into halftime trailing.

In the second half, the referee awarded a penalty on Andreas. After a VAR check, the midfielder was flagged for offside. The red-and-black team grew in the match and managed to maintain more possession, with good attacking movement.

In the 24th minute, VAR intervened again and called the referee to review the play. After checking, Wilton Pereira gave a red card to Luan Cândido, who had punched Matheuzinho in the face.

With an extra man, Flamengo went all out on the attack, while Bragantino simply defended. Despite trying until the end, the red-and-black team was defeated in Bragança Paulista.
