Flamengo is defeated by Peñarol by 1 to 0, at Maracanã

Flamengo lost its unbeaten run in the Copa Libertadores this Wednesday at the Maracanã. The Red-Black team was defeated 1-0 by Peñarol. 

First time 

The first half was fiercely contested, but Flamengo had the best scoring chances. In the 13th minute, Gabigol received a beautiful pass from Diego and nearly scored. The ball went to the right of the Peñarol goalkeeper. In the 29th minute, Éverton Ribeiro played Gabigol through. The red-and-black number 9 nearly scored. Flamengo was only threatened once, in the 41st minute. Canobbio fired a powerful shot, and Diego Alves made a spectacular save. In the 47th minute, Flamengo had their best chance. Rodrigo Caio headed the ball, and the Peñarol goalkeeper performed a miracle before the ball reached Bruno Henrique's head.

Second time

In the second half, Flamengo faced more challenges. In the 10th minute, Gabigol managed to find the net, but the referee flagged for offside and disallowed the goal. In the 29th minute, the forward was sent off after a foul on Rojo. The situation worsened for Flamengo, who ended up conceding a goal in the 42nd minute, scored by Viatri.
