After the FIFA international break, Flamengo was defeated by RB Bragantino 3-0 on Thursday night (2), at the Cícero de Souza Marques stadium, for the ninth round of the Brazilian Championship. The game

The first few minutes of play were characterized by both teams cautiously studying each other. The first good chance came in the seventh minute with Ayrton Lucas, who received a good pass from Pulgar, entered the area and shot, but Volpi made the save. Bragantino pressed high up the pitch, making it difficult for Flamengo to build attacks from the back.

On their first attacking move, the home team opened the scoring with Isidro Pitta, who received a long pass from Juninho Capixaba and chipped the ball over Rossi: 1-0.

Trailing behind, Flamengo tried to maintain possession of the ball, but made many passing errors, largely due to the quick recovery of the São Paulo team, which reduced the spaces. At 26 minutes, Bragantino scored a fourth goal, but the referee ruled that Matheus Fernandes had handled the ball in the build-up. In the final stretch, the home team created other opportunities, but Rossi prevented a bigger setback. The game ended in Bragança Paulista with a defeat for Leonardo Jardim's team.
