Flamengo is defeated by São Paulo 3-0 and ends its participation in the Copa do Brasil
Rubro-Negro faces Coritiba next Saturday (21), for the Brasileirão

In the second leg of the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals, Flamengo lost to São Paulo 3-0 on Wednesday night (18), at Morumbi. With the result, Rubro-Negro ended its participation in the competition.
The game
The first half began with Flamengo pressing the São Paulo team under pressure. In the 14th minute, Gerson received the ball from Vitinho and attempted a shot from outside the box, but Tiago Volpi made the save. With the majority of possession, Flamengo exchanged passes in the attacking midfield, trying to break down the opposing defense. The first half ended 0-0.
The second half began, and São Paulo opened the scoring with Luciano, making it 1-0. In the 10th minute, the home side scored their second, again with Luciano, to make it 2-0. In the 18th minute, Vitinho missed a penalty for Flamengo. In the 30th minute, Matheuzinho took the ball to the byline and crossed. Bruno Henrique headed dangerously, but the ball went out of bounds. In the 39th minute, São Paulo scored their third with Pablo, giving the final score: 3-0.
And now?
The Most Beloved returns to the field next Saturday (21) to face Coritiba, at 19 pm, at Maracanã, in a game valid for the 22nd round of the Brasileirão.
