Flamengo struggled, drawing 0-0 with Goiás this Sunday at Maracanã. The red-and-black team entered the field with a chance of taking the lead in the Brazilian Championship, as Botafogo had beaten São Paulo 3-2. However, coach Andrade's team failed to replicate its recent performances and ended up stumbling in front of more than 80 fans. In the next round, the team from Gávea will attempt to take the lead against Corinthians on Sunday in Campinas.
The game was tense and close from the start, with Flamengo struggling to find Harlei's goal, and the visitors relying on counterattacks. In the 18th minute, Fernandão was released at the edge of the penalty area, controlled the ball with his chest, and fired a powerful shot. Bruno, well placed, palmed it away for a corner.
