Flamengo drew 0-0 with Internacional this Wednesday at Maracanã in the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals, and now needs a win or a draw with goals to qualify for the semifinals. The next match will be next week at Beira-Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre. More than 53 fans watched the match at Maracanã.

The game started very evenly, and Internacional had the first good opportunity. Two minutes in, Kléber advanced down the left and crossed to Nilmar in the box. Ronaldo Angelim cut it back for Flamengo. Flamengo pressed, but Internacional played deep, making it difficult for Flamengo's attack.

Flamengo, the better team on the field, had good chances to open the scoring in the first half.
