With the field completely flooded, a result of the heavy rain that fell in Porto Alegre since Saturday night, Flamengo and Internacional were held to a 0-0 draw this Sunday at Beira-Rio Stadium. The draw left Flamengo in seventh place in the Brazilian Championship, with 38 points, six points away from qualifying for the Copa Libertadores. Flamengo faces Fluminense in the next round on Sunday at Maracanã.

With the pitch unplayable, the first half saw few scoring chances for either team. Flamengo nearly opened the scoring in the third minute, with Adriano unleashing a powerful free kick from the edge of the box.
