The game
Seeking their second consecutive victory in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo started the match by imposing themselves and looking to attack. Just three minutes in, Arrascaeta passed to Luiz Araújo, who advanced down the right and hit a cross. The ball was deflected for a corner.

Around the 15th minute, Arrascaeta challenged Igor Gomes for a quick ball and felt pain in the back of his left thigh. The Uruguayan tried to continue the match but had to be substituted. Victor Hugo came on in his place.

In the 24th minute, Erick delivered a beautiful pass to Luiz Araújo, who went one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The striker ended up shooting over the bar. It was the best opportunity of the game so far.

Like Arrasca, Luiz Araújo ended up hurting his left thigh and was replaced by Everton Ribeiro. With few clear-cut scoring chances, the first half ended goalless.

Flamengo returned for the second half exchanging passes in the attacking half. In the third minute, Everton Ribeiro took a free kick into the box, and Léo Pereira headed it over Keiller's goal.

The red-and-black team surrounded Inter's box, but struggled to create any penetrative plays. In the 36th minute, the red-and-black team narrowly missed scoring. Pedro chested down the ball inside the box, allowing Victor Hugo to unleash a powerful shot. Keiller jumped to the left corner and palmed it out for a corner.

In the final stretch, Flamengo tried to maintain possession up front, while Inter closed in behind. It's worth noting that the Colorado players kept falling to the ground, and the game was halted. It was clear that the opponent was satisfied with the draw.

In stoppage time, Ayrton Lucas crossed into the box, Aránguiz headed the ball, and the ball fell to Wesley, who unleashed a first-time shot that hit the crossbar. The Red-Blacks pushed hard for the winner until the very end, but the 0-0 draw remained at Maracanã.
