In the Brasileirão debut, Flamengo ended up drawing with Internacional 1-1 on Saturday night (29), at Maracanã. Léo Pereira scored the only goal for Flamengo at the beginning of the second half. Now, the Mais Querido focuses on the Libertadores debut, next Thursday (3), against Deportivo Táchira, in Venezuela.

The game
The ball rolled at the Maracanã stadium, with both teams seeking possession in the opening minutes. Gradually, Flamengo began to take control, exchanging passes in the attacking half. Internacional, on the other hand, adopted a more withdrawn stance, waiting for Flamengo in their own half to exploit counterattacks.

In the 20th minute, Luiz Araújo advanced down the right, cut inside, and took a shot. The ball deflected off Bruno Henrique and nearly caught the goalkeeper off guard. The Mais Querido (Most Beloved) kept attacking and nearly opened the scoring through Juninho in the 24th minute. Bruno Henrique crossed into the box, the forward headed it, and Rochet saved the team from Rio Grande do Sul. Michael tried to score from the rebound, but the goalkeeper saved again.

Although Flamengo had the best chances, Inter opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with Bruno Henrique, who took advantage of Bernabei's cross and fired home a first-time shot to make it 1-0. In first-half stoppage time, Juninho nearly equalized with a header, but Rochet saved Inter once again. The Red-Blacks went into the break trailing.

Without changes, Flamengo returned for the second half, immediately looking to attack and try to equalize in the opening minutes. And the pressure paid off! After a corner, Michael attempted a shot, but the ball fell to Léo Pereira to level the score at the Maracanã Stadium: 1-1.

Shortly after the equalizer, Juninho beat the goalkeeper, and the ball capriciously hit the post. A second goal was nearly scored. The red-and-black team regained control of possession and exchanged passes back and forth, looking for space to penetrate the Colorado defense.

In the 21st minute, Bruno Henrique found the ball on the left side of the box. The number 27 tried to chip the ball over the goalkeeper, but the ball skimmed the crossbar. Five minutes later, Erick unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, but the goalkeeper rebounded it forward, and Wallace Yan, who had just come on, slotted it into the corner, but Anthoni made another good save.

Plata, who also came on in the second half, took a skillful free kick; the ball sailed past the wall but went wide. In the final minutes, Flamengo fought to turn the game around until the last second, but the match ended in a draw.
