Flamengo confirmed that the match against Universidad de Chile, for the 4th round of group 8 of the Copa Santander Libertadores, will be held at Maracanã, at the time previously announced on the club's official website, 16 pm. The State Government agreed with the agreement signed on the morning of this Wednesday (07.04) between the clubs and Conmebol and released the information only in the early evening.

Club president Patricia Amorim made a point of announcing the confirmation of the game, praising the efforts made by Rio de Janeiro authorities.

"After an afternoon of conflicting information, we confirmed the match for 16 p.m. at Maracanã. The state government and city hall made a huge effort to make this happen. Flamengo is very grateful, as if the match hadn't been played, it could have been negatively impacted in the competition," said the president, urging Flamengo fans who can attend the game to be present.

"Tickets for the match will be on sale from 9 a.m. at Gávea and from 13 p.m. at Maracanã," he clarified. However, other points of sale will also be selling tickets for the match. See all here

Aware that some fans will not be able to attend due to the schedule change, Flamengo's director of fundraising, Eduardo Moraes, explained how refunds or exchanges for other tickets will be handled.

"We sold more than eight thousand tickets through the promotional package. Fans who have these tickets and are unable to attend the match will receive a proportional refund. Those who purchased individual tickets for this game can exchange them for a ticket for the game against Caracas on the 21st, or receive a refund. We'll let you know how this will be done on Monday," he concluded.
