Flamengo and Palmeiras draw 1-1 at Allianz Parque

In the 14th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Palmeiras on Saturday night (8), at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo. Arrascaeta came on in the second half and scored the goal that made the match equal.
The game
Playing at home, Palmeiras started the match looking to attack and dominate possession. Flamengo tried to move the ball around to ease the home side's initial pressure.
The red-and-black team tried to break out of the defense by exchanging passes, but struggled to get forward. In the 23rd minute, Palmeiras opened the scoring with Dudu, taking advantage of a rebound in the box: 1-0.
In the 48th minute, Cebolinha pounced on a rebound inside the box, but shot over the bar. Palmeiras were the better team in the first half and finished ahead.
In the second half, Flamengo held the ball more and tried to exchange passes to create space in the Alviverde defense. With the introduction of Everton Ribeiro and Arrascaeta, Flamengo managed to control possession better, but failed to create any clear-cut scoring chances.
In the 33rd minute, Bruno Henrique headed the ball away, but Weverton made a good save. Two minutes later, Mengão equalized at Allianz Parque. Everton Ribeiro controlled the ball on the right and crossed into the box for Arrascaeta to head home unmarked, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 1-1.
Palmeiras also had a goal disallowed in the 50th minute for offside. The match ended in a draw in São Paulo.
