Flamengo took to the field this Sunday (21), at Allianz Parque, and drew with Palmeiras 1-1, in a game valid for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão. The red-black goal was scored by Victor Hugo. With the result, Rubro-Negro added 40 points and is in third place in the championship.

The game
The match started evenly, with both teams closely studying each other. Palmeiras moved the ball around in search of space, while Flamengo closed in, waiting for a chance to counterattack. In the 14th minute, Flamengo created a threat for the first time. David Luiz passed to Victor Hugo at the edge of the box, who took a shot. Weverton made the save.

Marinho then took a free kick into the box, Lázaro headed it, and the goalkeeper made a save, preventing the goal. In the 28th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Ayrton Lucas made a good individual play down the left and crossed into the box. Victor Hugo rose unmarked to head the ball into the net: 0-1. The first half ended with the red-and-blacks in the lead.

After halftime, the game was a back-and-forth affair. In the 7th minute, Lázaro received the ball in the box, dribbled past the defense, and shot straight at Weverton. In the 11th minute, Ayrton Lucas made a solo run down the left, cut inside, and shot straight at the goalkeeper.

At 20', Palmeiras equalized with a shot from the edge of the box by Raphael Veiga: 1-1. After the draw, coach Dorival Júnior changed the team and put Pedro, Gabi, Arrascaeta, Everton Ribeiro and Vidal in.

In the final stretch, in the 40th minute, Pedro set up Arrascaeta at the edge of the box and shot toward goal. The ball went just wide of Weverton's goal. The match ended in a draw at Allianz Parque.
