The Flamengo delegation arrived in Belém early this morning and was greeted with a celebration by the nation. Flamengo takes the field this Wednesday at 21:30 pm at the Mangueirão Stadium to face Sampaio Corrêa (RJ) in the fifth round of the Campeonato Carioca. 

Flamengo participated in the preseason in the United States. There, they played two games. They beat the Philadelphia Union 2-0 with goals from Pedro and Everton Cebolinha and drew 1-1 with Orlando City. Pedro scored. 

In the Campeonato Carioca, Flamengo is coming off two draws: against Nova Iguaçu and Portuguesa. Both games were played in the northeast: the first in João Pessoa and the second in Natal. 

On Sunday at 19 p.m., Flamengo faces its first derby. Flamengo faces Vasco at the Maracanã stadium.
