Flamengo and River Plate participate in social action in Lima, Peru

By Communication - Flamengo - inTogether with Fundacion River, Flamengo participated in a social action this Friday in Lima, Peru. The event was attended by president Rodolfo Landim and his wife Angela Landim, vice president of communications and marketing Gustavo Oliveira, River Plate president Rodolfo D'Onofrio, and his daughter Clara. D'Onofrio (director of Fundacion River) and Cecília Hamann, director of Puericultorio Perez Aranibar, the organization that received the visit, and which serves around 250 children and young people, from 0 to 17 years old.
"This is a very important action for us because it reinforces Education, which is Flamengo's Social Responsibility Priority Agenda. We believe in Education as a way to reduce social inequalities and lift thousands of children and young people out of the cycle of exclusion and poverty," said President Rodolfo Landim.
This action consists of a visit to an organization that works with children in situations of social vulnerability. The goal was to convey a message of unity and social engagement between the two clubs, committed to social inclusion and ensuring the rights of children and young people. It also reinforced education, which is a priority for Flamengo's Social Responsibility agenda.
More than a team, Flamengo is a nation, and education is its main banner of social responsibility. Flamengo advocates for equal rights to learning so that children and young people can change their destiny, with citizenship and quality of life. Under the current administration, the club has a social responsibility department headed by Vice President Walter D'Agostino and Camila Nascimento as the department manager.
