Flamengo drew 2-2 with São Paulo this Sunday at Morumbi Stadium, remaining in seventh place in the Brazilian Championship with 15 points from ten matches. Fierro and Adriano scored the red-and-black goals in the match. In the next round of the Brasileirão, the team from Gávea faces Palmeiras on Wednesday at Maracanã.

Flamengo started the game better and took the lead in the third minute. On a throw-in, goalkeeper Denis miskicked the ball, handing it to Fierro, who controlled it and slotted it home: 1-0 Flamengo. In the ninth minute, Adriano missed a great chance with Denis one-on-one.

Flamengo dominated the match, but in an isolated move, São Paulo equalized in the 18th minute. Borges received the ball from Marlos and scored: 1-1 at Morumbi Stadium. Two minutes later, Adriano made a beautiful play and was brought down by Renato Silva in the penalty area. Referee Ricardo Ribeiro awarded the penalty. The Emperor took the penalty with skill and put Flamengo back in front: 2-1 Fla.

In the 43rd minute, Renato Silva received his second yellow card and was sent off, leaving Flamengo with an extra player.

The Gávea team returned for the second half playing more defensively and exploiting counterattacks. In the 18th minute, Willians brought down Miranda, and the referee awarded a penalty. Jorge Wagner brought down Bruno, leveling the score at Morumbi Stadium: 2-2.

Cuca put Erick Flores, Jorbison and Petkovic in the team, but Flamengo did not improve and the game ended in a draw.
