Flamengo is defeated by Fluminense in the Guanabara Cup
Mais Querido played a good game, but suffered a setback after conceding a goal in the second half.
By Romulo Paranhos - inFlamengo took to the field on Wednesday night (29) and was defeated by Fluminense 1-0, at Maracanã. The match was valid for the fourth round of the Guanabara Cup.
The game
The Mais Querido started the match on top of the Tricolor, valuing possession and working attacking plays. Despite creating a few opportunities in the first half, they were unable to break the deadlock.
In the second half, Fluminense came back more organized and scored. Yago crossed from the edge of the penalty area, the ball went past everyone, and Nenê scored the winning goal in the 26th minute: 1-0. Mengão narrowly avoided equalizing with Lucas Silva late on. Muriel made a great save.

Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Monday (03), at 20 pm, at Maracanã, to face Resende.
