Flamengo, Universidad de Chile and Conmebol reached an agreement and, after inspecting Maracanã on the morning of this Wednesday (07.04), decided that the match between the two teams should be held this Thursday (08.04), at 16 pm, at the stadium itself. Representatives of the three entities have already signed a document approving the decision, but are still waiting for confirmation from the State Government, through the Department of Sports, Tourism and Leisure.

In an interview with Globo Esporte, the Secretary of Sports, Tourism and Leisure Márcia Lins explained that she will wait until the end of this Wednesday to make a statement, as tests still need to be carried out at Maracanã.

"We're still cleaning and inspecting the scoreboard and lighting electrical system. If there are no issues with the equipment and we have the necessary safety guarantees for the game, we'll make a decision by the end of the day. We need to be careful when it comes to receiving spectators. There are roads closed, and it's a matter of city operations. We'll make every effort to hold the game due to the schedule issues," said Márcia Lins.

Fans who have not yet purchased their tickets will be able to purchase them at points of sale up until moments before the game. Learn all about ticket sales.
