Flamengo's Futsal team drew 15-11 with Vasco da Gama this Thursday (1/1). The match is part of the quarterfinals of the Campeonato Carioca. The return match will be on Thursday (22/11), likely at Gávea, and the red-black team only needs a draw to continue in the competition.

On the court, the game was fiercely contested. Vasco took the initiative, but goalkeeper Breno was inspired and prevented the team from São Januário from opening the scoring.

Midway through the first half, Flamengo leveled the playing field, and chances began to appear. With six minutes remaining, Flamengo opened the scoring. After a beautiful exchange of passes, winger Panázio chested the ball into the net.

In the second half, Flamengo continued to play better, and only failed to extend their lead because the Vasco goalkeeper made some good saves.

Late in the game, Vasco replaced their starting goalkeeper with an outfield player, and the pressure paid off. Vasco's Dudu equalized with just over two minutes remaining.

In the end, the 1-1 draw was a good result for Flamengo, who are playing for a draw at home.
