Dominating the game, but losing on the scoreboard.

The first half started with difficulties for Flamengo. With a different lineup than in recent games, Vasco da Gama took the initiative in the first 15 minutes, although they created few dangerous chances. Gradually, the Flamengo team tightened their marking and began to dominate the match. However, clear-cut chances didn't materialize, and Vasco's shots on goal were mostly from medium range.

Despite having possession of the ball and space, but lacking space, Flamengo ended up conceding a goal in a confusing play. Andre Rios finished and opened the scoring after a scramble inside the penalty area. Trailing, the team launched a full-on attack, but halftime arrived with the team trailing.

Draw, sending-off and ambulance.

The final 45 minutes turned into 59. Before that, in the 12th minute, Diego was sent off for dissent. Flamengo, who had been pressing since the start of the second half, were left with one less player in their fight for a result.

But the equalizer came just when the team was at a numerical disadvantage. From a Pará cross, Luiz Gustavo scored an own goal, leveling the score at 16 minutes. The game became more exciting, and Flamengo pressed forward even with one less player.

There was a lot of pressure, but Vasco held on. Martin Silva made good saves and stopped Flamengo's attack. At 37 minutes, two Vasco players collided and Bruno Silva came off worse. After being knocked unconscious, he was taken away by ambulance from the stadium. The game was stopped for 10 minutes. Flamengo wishes the player a speedy recovery.

With that, Vasco was left with one less player, the conditions were evened, and the circumstances led the game to the 59th minute. Flamengo searched, attacked, but couldn't find the winning goal. In the last attempt, Willian Arão appeared alert in the area, headed the ball, but it went wide.

Flamengo will reconvene next Monday at 15 PM at the George Helal Training Center, also known as Ninho do Urubu.
