In the tenth round of the Cariocão, Flamengo drew 2-2 with Portuguesa on Saturday night (17), at the Luso Brasileiro stadium, on Ilha do Governador. Both goals for Rubro-Negro were scored by Pedro, in the second half.

The game
The first half began with Flamengo dominating possession and exchanging passes in the attacking half. In the 12th minute, Portuguesa took the lead through Mauro Silva, who hit a beautiful shot from outside the box: 1-0. In the 27th minute, Lusa extended the lead through Romarinho: 2-0. The red-and-black team went into the break trailing.

The Mais Querido (Most Beloved) returned for the second half putting pressure on their opponents. In the fourth minute, Pepê crossed for Pedro, who headed down, but Neguete made the save. Ten minutes into the game, Mengão scored their first! From the left, Michael crossed perfectly for Pedro to deflect with his right foot into the goalkeeper's corner: 10-2.  

It didn't take long for Flamengo to level the score. In the 17th minute, João Gomes made a good run through the middle and delivered a beautiful pass to Pedro, who slotted it past the goalkeeper: 2-2. In the 31st minute, Vitinho controlled the ball inside the box, cut past the defender, and fired a cross shot just wide of the post. Flamengo pressed late in search of a third, but the match ended in a draw.

Next appointment
Next Tuesday (20), Mais Querido will debut in the Libertadores against Vélez Sarsfield, at 21:30 pm, at the José Amalfitani stadium, in Argentina.
