On another night of Brasileirão, Flamengo ended up drawing with Cuiabá 1-1, this Saturday (6), at Maracanã, in the 15th round of the national competition. Rubro-Negro was behind on the scoreboard, but top scorer Pedro scored the goal that made everything equal. With the result, Mais Querido remains in the lead with 31 points.

The game
With the support of the nation, which once again turned out in large numbers at the Maracanã Stadium, Flamengo started the match attacking Cuiabá. Just two minutes in, the Flamengo attack created its first significant opportunity. Gerson fired a cross-shot, forcing the goalkeeper to make a good save. Bruno Henrique took a chance on the rebound, and Walter made another good save.

Despite the red-black team's good start, Cuiabá opened the scoring after five minutes with Derik Lacerda, who risked a shot from the edge of the area, the ball deflected off David Luiz and ended up deceiving goalkeeper Rossi: 1-0.

Looking for an equalizer, Flamengo had no choice but to attack, exchanging passes near the opposing box, trying to find space. Late in the first half, Lorran came on for Bruno Henrique.

The equalizer almost came in the final minute of stoppage time. Luiz Araújo delivered a perfect cross for Pedro to head in, but Walter made the save. The red-and-black team went into halftime trailing.

For the second half, the red-and-black team returned with Werton replacing Allan. Just five minutes in, a good chance arose. Luiz Araújo received the ball at the edge of the box and struck powerfully. Walter, once again, saved Cuiabá from conceding an equalizer.

And Flamengo kept pressing. In the 35th minute, Luiz Araújo took a shot, but the goalkeeper saved another. In the final minutes, Flamengo went all out in search of the winning goal, but the game ended in a draw at the Maracanã.
