Flamengo draws with Fluminense and qualifies for the Carioca final

Top scorer Gabigol came on in the second half and scored the red-black goal against the rival

We're in another final. Flamengo drew 1-1 with Fluminense this Saturday at Maracanã, securing their place in the Campeonato Carioca final. Flamengo's goal was scored by top scorer Gabigol, who came on as a second-half substitute. 

First time 

Flamengo dominated the first half. In the 7th minute, Arão scored with a header, but the referee disallowed it after consulting VAR. Goalkeeper Rodolfo was fouled. In the 18th minute, Diego took a shot from outside the box, but Rodolfo saved it without letting go. In the 30th minute, Diego, once again, shot with the ball in the air, but Rodolfo saved. In the 41st minute, Bruno Henrique shot, and Rodolfo made a great save. Uribe couldn't reach the rebound. Shortly after, Fluminense, with their only chance, opened the scoring with a Gilberto header. In stoppage time, Flamengo had another chance with Léo Duarte, but the defender headed wide.

Second time

In the second half, Flamengo continued to press. Just one minute into the game, Bruno Henrique received the ball on the left and nearly scored. Rodolfo saved Fluminense once again. In the third minute, Arão received a beautiful pass from Everton Ribeiro and nearly scored a beautiful goal. The ball rose high. In the eighth minute, Diego's shot deflected off the Tricolor defense and went over. In the 1nd minute, Pará found Arrascaeta free in the box, but the Tricolor defense saved. The goal came next, with Gabigol's low shot, which Rodolfo accepted: 3-8 and Mengão in the final.

Flamengo returns to play on Thursday, against San José, at 21 pm, at Maracanã, for the Copa Libertadores.
