In the third round of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo drew 1-1 with São Paulo, on Sunday afternoon (05), at Morumbi. Berrío scored in the first half for Rubro-Negro and Tchê Tchê made it all equal in the second half. 

The first half saw a flurry of activity from both teams. São Paulo began the game by pressing the Flamengo team with a veritable blitz from the opening play of the match. Reinaldo appeared on the left flank, Tchê Tchê shot, and Flamengo's defense cleared. Despite the home team's better start, the Flamengo team valued possession and created good attacking chances. In the 7th minute, Hugo Moura received the ball unmarked, chipped it over goalkeeper Tiago Volpi, and Berrío appeared unmarked to open the scoring at Morumbi Stadium. 

Distributing the play well, Diego nearly extended the lead in the 18th minute with a powerful shot from outside the box. The only reason the ball didn't go in was due to a great save from Tiago Volpi. Scorer Berrío was replaced by Lucas Silva late in the first half after a clash with Walce in midfield.

With a partial victory on the scoreboard, Flamengo defended and saw São Paulo come close in the second half. In the 9th minute, Hernanes took a long-range shot, but goalkeeper César made a great save, saving the team from Gávea. The opponent's equalizer came in the 37th minute. A cross into the box resulted in Hernanes heading in again, César performed a miracle, and on the rebound, Tchê Tchê leveled the score at 1-1. 

In search of qualification for the next phase of the Conmebol Libertadores, Flamengo will face Peñarol, Wednesday (8), at 21:30 pm, at the Campeón Del Siglo Stadium. The next commitment for the Brasileirão will be against Chapecoense, on Sunday (12), at 11 am, at Maracanã.
