Flamengo visited Macaé last Friday (7/9) for the second round of the 2007 Rio de Janeiro Futsal Championship. The game was very disputed, and the 1-1 result ended up being fair, since Flamengo dominated the first half and Macaé controlled the game in the second half.

The start of the match was encouraging for the red-black team, where they completely dominated the match and managed to open the scoring in the first half, with a goal from winger Diego Panazio.

After returning for the second period, Flamengo let Macaé level the score and equalize in the opening minutes. The match remained evenly matched until the end, and the 1-1 result proved fair for Flamengo coach Cid Escalarte.

- "It was a good game, back and forth. I think the 1-1 result was fair. Both teams played well and deserved the draw."

The next round of the red-black team in Carioca is scheduled for Friday (15/9). The opponent will be the Cabo Frio team, which will be playing at home, at 20 pm.
