In a delayed game of the fourth round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo drew with Athletico-PR 2-2 on Tuesday afternoon (2), at Arena da Baixada. The goals of Mais Querido were scored by Gabigol, both in the first half.

The game
Flamengo started the match by taking the initiative and maintaining possession in the attacking half. In the 17th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Michael passed to Vitinho, who took a shot, but the goalkeeper saved it with his foot. Gabi fired the rebound into the net, ending a nine-game goalless streak: 1-0.

After taking the lead, the red-and-black team continued to attack. In the 20th minute, Andreas took a free kick from the left edge of the box, and the ball sailed dangerously over the crossbar. Minutes later, Mengão extended the lead, again through Gabi. Santos made a poor pass, but Isla managed to intercept and pass to the striker in the box, who chipped the ball over the goalkeeper and scored a stunning goal: 2-0.

Athletico returned for the second half, pressing Flamengo in their own half. Flamengo, in turn, was unable to counterattack or establish a rhythm of play. In the 17th minute, Athletico-PR pulled one back through Renato Kayzer, making it 2-1. Shortly after the ball went out, Kayzer managed to score the second, but after a VAR review, the goal was correctly disallowed.

In the 49th minute, the home team equalized through Bissoli: 2-2. In the last minute, Gustavo Henrique headed a ball against the crossbar and almost scored Flamengo's third. The final result was a draw at the Arena da Baixada.

Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Friday (5) to face Atlético-GO, at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã, in a delayed game of the 19th round of the Brasileirão.
