Based on the club's football department's planning for the 2018 season, some of the players that make up the squad were loaned out to clubs in various football centers around the world.

Attacking midfielders Matheus Savio, who played for Flamengo in the 2017 season, and Cafu, who played for Ceará, will move to Estoril in Portugal. Striker Nixon will also head to Europe this season, joining Kalmar in Sweden. Meanwhile, Thiago Santos and Trindade will head to India, where they will play for Mumbai FC and Jamshedpur, respectively.

Other players who emerged from the club's youth academy will play for national teams. Right-back Thiago Ennes will play for Náutico-PE. Left-back Moraes will play for São Bento-SP. Gabriel Silva will head to the south of the country to play for Veranópolis-RS.

After a loan spell last season, midfielder Canteros will remain at Chapecoense in 2018. The Argentine will play alongside midfielder Márcio Araújo, who was loaned to the Santa Catarina team.

The Mais Querido will not feature players whose contracts with the club have or will end. These include defender Rafael Dumas; defensive midfielders Muralha and Luiz Antonio; midfielder Conca; and forwards Gabriel Ramos, Rafinha, and Douglas Baggio, as well as Paulinho, whose contract will expire on February 28th.
