Flamengo is ready to debut in the Rio Cup and the first match of the tournament will be against Americano. The Most Beloved will face the Campos team this Sunday (24), at 17 pm, at Maracanã. In group C of the Carioca Championship, Rubro-Negro will now measure forces against the teams in group B.
This will be the penultimate game before the CONMEBOL Libertadores debut. Coach Abel Braga stated that the matches against Americano and Portuguesa will be crucial in preparing for the first match of the continental competition.

Coach Abel Braga gave a press conference during the week of preparation for the duel and one of the topics discussed was the time the team had been without playing.
"It's an unusual thing. We weren't used to it, we're missing games. But it's good, because we're going to play a lot now. We're going to prepare as best we can, recover our energy. Due to everything that happened, it was low. But the recovery is good."
The commander didn't want to make a mystery and confirmed De Arrascaeta as a starter in this Sunday's match.
"He's going to play. The Fla-Flu match was tough for him. It was a difficult play to control, and he did it with incredible ease. He was down for about four days and felt it. We talked to him, he's a very quality player. What I promised him after the game was that he would have the chance to recover in the next game. He's already in the lineup."
