To remain firmly in the fight for the 2018 Brazilian Championship title, Flamengo has another important challenge in the national competition this Sunday (23). Playing at the Maracanã, Mais Querido counts on the support of the Nation to beat Atlético-MG and reach the 14th victory in Série A. The ball will roll from 16 pm.

Coach Mauricio Barbieri had the week off to work and correct some mistakes at Ninho do Urubu. The time was also important to rest the players who had been playing a tough series of matches this season.

Hey, Cuéllar

Last Friday (21), midfielder Cuéllar gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu and the time the players had to prepare for the game against Atlético-MG was the topic of conversation with journalists.

"Professional athletes need rest to be able to train hard during the week. For me, this time was important to work and try to put into practice the idea that the coach wants in the games. We always try to rest as much as possible. The Brazilian Championship is tough, and resting to train well is very important. We managed to do that throughout this week," he said.
