Flamengo turns all its attention to the fight for the 2018 Brazilian Championship title. The next challenge in the national competition will be this Saturday (29), at 21 pm, at Arena Fonte Nova. The game will mark Dorival Júnior's debut in charge of the Rubro-Negro's professional football. 

Flamengo's new coach is already in Salvador for the Brasileirão clash against the Bahian team. The manager arrives at the club with assistants Lucas Silvestre and Leonardo Porto. Dorival Júnior will be introduced this Saturday (29), at 9:30 am, at the hotel where the delegation is staying.

Bahia and Flamengo have faced each other 85 times throughout their history, and Flamengo holds the advantage. Bahia has 21 wins, 30 draws, and 24 triumphs. The Rio de Janeiro team also has the advantage in goals scored: 120 to 89.

The biggest win of these 85 duels that took place between the two teams was applied by Flamengo, in 2003, at Maracanã. Rubro-Negro won 6-0, with goals from Edílson (3), Rafael (2) and Fernando. 

Flamengo's last match against Bahia also proved favorable for the Rio de Janeiro club. In the first round, Mengão won 2-0 at Maracanã, with goals from Diego and Lucas Paquetá adding three more points. 

Tickets for Flamengo fans for the match against Bahia are sold out. Once again, the nation will support the Red-Blacks away from home.
