Flamengo faces Cruzeiro in the Conmebol Libertadores
Mais Querido goes to Belo Horizonte to face Raposa in the second game of the round of 16 of the international competition

Flamengo returns to play in Belo Horizonte, but this time for the CONMEBOL Libertadores. After last weekend's match against América-MG, Flamengo will take to the field to face Cruzeiro. The match against Raposa will be part of the second leg of the round of 16 of the international competition.
It's a busy season for Flamengo, and Mauricio Barbieri's team is competing in the Copa Libertadores, the Copa do Brasil, and the Campeonato Brasileiro. Flamengo is in the semifinals of the first competition, and they're in third place in the points-based tournament.

Before heading to Belo Horizonte, coach Mauricio Barbieri held a press conference at Ninho do Urubu. The manager previewed the matchup against the Minas Gerais team and warned that taking the home team out of their "comfort zone" is one of the goals for returning to Rio de Janeiro with qualification.
"Cruzeiro is a mature team, playing a very confident and even pragmatic game. They're a team that plays by the rules. They have a great coach, and we have to be prepared for any surprises. They're a team accustomed to playing based on results. We have to take them out of their comfort zone so they don't have that kind of result again and we can pursue qualification."

Flamengo x Cruzeiro
In the entire history of the confrontation, Flamengo has managed to beat Cruzeiro by two or more goals on 17 occasions. Two of these games took place at Mineirão, the venue for this Wednesday's match (29).
Champion in 1981, Flamengo is competing in the Libertadores for the 14th time, being the Rio de Janeiro team with the most appearances, surpassing Vasco (9 appearances), Fluminense (6) and Botafogo (5).
In the last meeting between the two teams, "Mais Querido" came out on top at Maracanã. The match was part of the Brazilian Championship, and striker Henrique Dourado scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory in the 18th round of the national competition.
