The victory in the Conmebol Libertadores gave confidence and now the Mais Querido returns to focus on the Campeonato Carioca. Flamengo faces Volta Redonda, this Saturday (16), at 19 pm, at Maracanã. In case of victory, the Mais Querido will regain the leadership of Group C of the Taça Rio.

Flamengo also sits second in the overall standings of the 2019 Campeonato Carioca. Like Fluminense, Mengão has 20 points but has played a game less. A win against Volta Redonda will put Mengão back in first place.
