Flamengo ends preparations to face Athletico-PR, in the Brasileirão

Flamengo ended its preparation this Friday (22), at Ninho do Urubu, to face Athletico-PR, this Saturday (23), at 16:30 pm, at Arena da Baixada. The game is valid for the third round of the Brazilian Championship.

Coach Paulo Sousa led a technical and tactical activity with the athletes. David Luiz, who celebrated his 35th birthday, completed the traditional "Polish Corridor." In the afternoon, the red-and-black delegation will depart for Curitiba, the site of tomorrow's match.

Flamengo and Athletico-PR have faced each other 76 times, with the Rio de Janeiro club having the upper hand. They have won 32, drawn 17, and lost 27. The last meeting between the teams took place in November of last year, ending in a 2-2 draw at Arena da Baixada in the second round of the Brasileirão.

Having played a game more than their opponents, Mengão remains undefeated at the start of the championship, with two draws and one win. Paulo Sousa's team has five points and is currently third in the national competition.
