This Wednesday (09), Flamengo held the last training session at Ninho do Urubu aiming at the debut in the 2021 Copa do Brasil, which takes place tomorrow (10) against Coritiba, at 19 pm, at Couto Pereira Stadium. This will be the first leg of the Third Phase of the competition.

This morning, coach Mauricio Souza led a tactical session with the red-and-black squad. It's worth noting that Rogério Ceni tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently in quarantine.

The new addition to the squad list was right-back Rodinei, who returned from a loan spell at Mais Querido and will make his debut with Manto. The red-and-black delegation departed for Curitiba, Paraná, late in the afternoon.

Athletes Gabriel Barbosa and Everton Ribeiro are expected as normal by the Football Department tonight, in the capital of Paraná, for re-evaluation by the club's professionals and the beginning of medical procedures, if necessary.

Due to the strain of the Olympic Team's games and the long trip, the coaching staff decided not to include Gerson and Pedro, who are heading to Rio de Janeiro, as well as Rodrigo Caio.

This will be the 60th match between Flamengo and Coritiba, the seventh time the clubs have faced each other in the Copa do Brasil. The previous six meetings saw each team win two and draw two. The goals scored are tied again: 8-8.
